We're looking for volunteer paddlers to assist with safety cover for the Helvellyn Triathlon Swim. Paddlers are needed to accompany swimmers around the course and provide a point for swimmers in trouble to hang on to and/or summon one of the attending rescue boats in case a swimmer needs to be recovered from the water. If you've not got your own Kayak/Canoe we will provide one from our hire fleet.
The event is held in the bay to the south of the Ullswater Steamer pier, and a briefing will be provided at 07:30 am before setting out. A bacon / sausage butty breakfast will be provided after the event, please let us know if you want a veggie option.
