Join us for a Paddleboard Bootcamp and let's kick off the 4th of July with a splash!
Start the holiday with a fun activity and learn how to paddleboard. Or if you prefer, kayak with us unstead.

- When: July 4th @ 9 am (if you need to rent), 9:30am otherwise
- Where: Beach @Horny Corner, Long Beach 90803
- How much? $10 + cost of rental (see info below)
Note: This event is FREE to LBBC Members (join us for a week or more and this will be free to you as well) and LBBC family/friends
Headsup: Not your regular paddleboarding session!
We will make an attempt at doing squats, lunges, planks and all that workout "stuff" on the boards (optional, not mandatory). Lots of giggles guaranteed.
This event was a hit pre-pandemic and we are bringing it back.
No board? No problem. This bootcamp is @ Horny Corner right next to a paddle & kayak rental place.
Beginner & advance paddlers welcome. One pre-requisite: YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM and, if renting, attend the rental place intro course (free with rental).
All fitness levels AND first timers welcome.
If renting, please arrive BEFORE 9am to rent a board and participate in the training tutorial and water safety instruction provided by the rental place. Expect about an hour of paddling on the water, stay longer if you want to paddle around the canals. Attn. Kayakers: You are most welcome however exercises will be performed on paddleboards. Heads-up: we will have a couple races and you will be able to partake in them.
- If you need to rent, visit http://kayakrentals.net/ and check rates, complete their online tutorial and be ready to get in line as soon as they open.
- Parking: 2 lots along Ocean Blvd. or street (limited)
Expect holiday traffic and allow yourself extra time to find parking and walk over to the beach.
