Paddle to the pub is back! We are going paddling and you are invited! ✅ What’s the plan?
Starting 7th May and then every other Wednesday till Mid September. Leaving 6.30pm sharp from AS Watersports
Kayaks/Paddleboards welcome.
If you have your own kayak/board - no booking needed and it’s free to come! If you need to hire a board/kayak it’s £20 and booking is essential - call 01392 219600 We will be leaving on the water at 6.30pm. The shop will be open from 6pm with changing rooms and toilet.
It’s going to be a bit of a social and a jolly. Come down on your own or bring some friends. Once we have our balance we will gently cruise down the canal to Double Locks, have a drink and we will aim to be back at the shop around 8.45pm (ish)
We have a couple of fitting rooms at the shop and secure place to leave bags. You can reserve one of our Demo Red Paddle boards if you want to try a new model.
✅ Who’s it for?
For those that want to have a fun evening and meet some other paddlers. You will need to be comfortable paddling 3 miles in total. This session is for over 18s only (Sorry). We will throw out some tips and make sure people are comfortable but this is not a teaching session.
✅ How to Book and what do you provide?
Book a board by calling 01392 219600 and mention the “Paddle to the Pub” We supply a paddleboard, paddle, leash and buoyancy aid (a buoyancy aid must be worn if you are using one of our boards) We have a selection of Red Paddle Ride boards on our hire fleet and a complete range of Red Paddle Co Demo boards. If there is a specific board you want to try out, let us know and we can reserve it for you.
If you have your own kayak/board there is no need to book - just turn up and be ready to get on the water at 6.30pm.
One or more of our staff will be around to hand out some boards, tips and to answer questions.
