Our Packaging Masterclass sessions give you the inside line on all the changes happening in packaging across New Zealand.
This includes comprehensive knowledge sharing and guidance on all the Government initiatives, technological developments, infrastructure changes and recycling market insights. You’ll have face to face discussions with all the major players, everyone from supermarket brands to local council representatives. You’ll get immediate responses to your packaging challenges, and work with those tackling these nationwide.
Together we’re creating best practice resources for the entire sector. We’re launching spin-off collaborations taking on the various challenges and opportunities.
The Masterclass now includes all forms of packaging, to meet an even wider range of challenges and opportunities.
If you work in or with packaging you need to be with us. And if your organisations has made commitments for your packaging to be 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025, then this is a vital step to keep you on track.
Representatives of every aspect of New Zealand’s packaging system will be there, working on:
• The systems around packaging in this country – government policies, infrastructure and labelling
• The changes and challenges across materials development and choices – fibre, glass, plastic, metal, biomaterials and more
• The actions every business can take to ensure best practice – from auditing, design, and end of life
Sessions will be interactive, complete with a working lunch.
Book soon and save $100 on your ticket price – Early bird tickets are selling out!
This event is brought to you by the Sustainable Business Network (SBN); our partners Foodstuffs, Thinkstep ANZ and NZ King Salmon; and sponsors Sealed Air and Auckland University of Technology.
Networking hour is kindly supported by:
Citizen Collective
Citizen is a food upcyling collective. A group of chefs, brewers, bakers and innovators who want to reduce food and resource waste. Citizen rescue surplus foods and upcycle them into delicious food and drink. Citizen craft beers are made using rescued unsold bread to replace a quarter of the malted barley in each brew. Their sourdough loaves are made with 15% of the regular flour replaced with spent-grain flour from the brewing process.
Round Theory Wines
Round Theory Wines are sustainably grown and sourced, and the lightweight packaging reduces their environmental impact. Round Theory Wines are climate positive and aim to offset at least double the amount of carbon they use, with their carbon credits allocated to conservation and preservation projects worldwide.
Please note that due to ongoing developments with the latest COVID-19 outbreak in New Zealand, this date is subject to change.
