***IT'S HIGH TIME FOR A PACK WALK REVIVAL***Our next pack walk is set for June 4th at 10am!
We will be meeting at Dishman Hills Natural Area at the Sargent Rd entrance just off Appleway Blvd to begin the 4 mile loop. Here is a link to the trail on AllTrails:
https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/washington/dishman-hills-natural-area-trail
we will have a donation tin with us and while there is no admission to join us for a pack walk, we are always accepting of a little extra funds to help the animals in our care.
There will be:
✔Red bandanas available for dogs that would like a few feet of personal space. ✔Muzzles for those that need a little extra protection. Muzzles are swell! No muzzle shame here!
✔Foster dogs available for walking for those that want to meet adoptable dogs or to help exercise a pet in need. Bring your driver's license for check in to walk a foster dog!
Rules will be minimal but strongly enforced and are as follows:
1) No flexi or retractable leads. Only flat leads ranging from 4-6 feet in length.
2) No off leash dogs.
3) Everyone will have a right to use equipment of their choosing as long as the dog is safe. Equipment choice will not be up for discussion on the walks unless a walker has a question for a member of the MM team.
4) Dogs with a history of biting dogs or people are welcome to attend but must be wearing a muzzle. If you do not know how to choose or fit a muzzle for your dog, message MM before the hike for assistance.
5) By attending, you acknowledge that you are using public trails and are there by your own choice and as an independent party, not covered by MM in any way shape or form for any damages or injuries that may occur on the walk.
6) We advise you vaccinate your dog for parvo, and use flea and tick prevention as there is potential for exposure on most trails. We will not be requesting proof. It's up to you to protect your pet. For questions about vaccinations and preventatives, contact the team at MM or your vet to make sure you are covered.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us regardless of your shape, size, ability to hike, or your dog's behavior. We cannot wait to hit the trail with you!
