I'm hoping to start hosting a regularly occurring pack walk!
Saturday, December 20th at 12:00pm, I'll be taking my dog(s) on a walk through the Folsom Hike and Bike Trail in Beaumont, and I'm inviting any other local dog owners to join! For now, this location seems to be the most accessible, but I may look for other more scenic local parks/trails in the future.
This event is going to be a test run, since I won't likely be able to host another walk until near the end of January/Early February time, but if there is enough interest I'd like to do this every other Saturday at noon!
Parallel walking (walking side by side) is a great way to socialize a dog! It can help teach neutrality and calmness when in the presence of another unfamiliar dog, and can also build confidence!
Important information to have:
- This is FREE!
- This is not a meet and greet or play time get together for dogs. It's not encouraged to let dogs greet face to face on leash if they are unfamiliar with one another.
- This park does require a leash to be used, please do not walk your dog(s) off leash during this event, even if they are well trained.
- There are doggy poo bag stations provided by the park. I can also provide poo bags if needed.
- The full walk (to the end of the trail and back) is approximately 2.8 miles.
- The trail is concrete and on relatively flat terrain.
