Pack 9 is excited to partner with Holts Summit Food Pantry at Union Hill church again this year for our annual food drive, Scouting for Peanut Butter.More than 49 million Americans experience hunger & food insecurity everyday. Of those 49 million, 16 million are children. That means 1 out of every 5 children suffer from hunger & food insecurity every day. In Central and Northeast Missouri alone, more than 45,000 children suffer from hunger & food insecurity daily.
One of the core tenets of the Scout Oath is always to help others. The Boy Scouts of America has a long tradition of helping to feed others. Scouting for Peanut Butter is a great way to teach our scouts the importance of helping others in our communities.
Scouts will stand outside Mosers in Holts Summit on March 15th. As shoppers enter, they will hand them a note asking for donations of peanut butter & other items.
