Get ready for CCECD's 2024 Playford-to-the-Present Ball on October 6 by joining us for our Practice Sessions!As always, the P2P ball is for knowledgable dancers, and it is assumed that all attendees are familiar with basic ECD figures. The best way to learn ECD figures and specific dances is to regularly attend CCECD's Second and Fourth Sunday dances. :) You can also brush up on your basics and learn the specifics of each dance on the ball's program at our Practice Sessions.
NOTE: The venue for this Practice has changed. We will be meeting at the Woman's Club of South Pasadena from 2:30 to 5:30 on October 6.
We're offering two P2P Ball Practices. The first is on September 29, at Lindberg Park Stone House, and the second is October 6, 2024, at the Woman's Club of South Pasadena. They're both held from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Callers James Hutson and Renée Camus will share teaching duties. Live music we be provided for both practices. We're delighted to welcome musicians Linda Kodaira and Bob Altman for the October 6 practice.
In conjunction with our two Ball Practices is our Annual Costume Sale! Bring your gently used costumes or clothing to sell, and pick up something new-to-you for your closet. All proceeds go to our P2P Scholarship Fund.
We also have a Final Review session on Friday night, October 18, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., at Skandia Hall in Pasadena. Our incredible talent for the ball will also be with us for the Final Review: caller Anna Rain and musicians Audrey Leigh Jaber, Ben Jackson, and Chip Prince!
