Our Journey: Since our first float in 2008, we've blurred the lines between gay and straight culture, redefining identity through connection, not labels. Will you be one of the 60 passionate voices leading the way in 2025? From a small group to over 500 vibrant members, our spirit has evolved from Oz Fag Hags to Oz Queer Hags, but our mission remains the same: to uplift every voice in our colourful community.
We march not just for fun but to support our beautiful Oz Queer Hags family and LGBTQIA+ community. Each of us knows someone who has been or is still on their journey, and our participation is a powerful act of love and solidarity. Together, we'll pave the way for them to find their voice and proudly declare, "I am unapologetically myself!" Let's stand strong, hand in hand, and create a world where everyone feels celebrated.

Want to get more involved? Helping with float and prop building is a fantastic way to bond with fellow members. No experience is needed; just pitch in where you can and bring your energy and enthusiasm for a fun day! You can also support our fundraising efforts by sourcing small prizes for our raffle or bigger prizes for our silent auction, which helps raise much-needed funds. Every contribution makes a difference in creating an unforgettable Mardi Gras experience!
