About this Event
From experiencing the thrill of opening an oyster to savoring its fresh, briny flavors, to learning the best presentation techniques- this class is a must for all oyster lovers. Learn the art of safely and proficiently shucking an oyster from local Chatham expert Steven Wright of the Chatham Shellfish Company. With a degree in aquaculture and over 20 years of experience, Steven will explain how oysters play an important role in our local ecosystem.
Each guest will be given 6 oysters, a high-grade oyster knife and an oyster glove to use and take home. Enjoy these oysters with Chatham Bars Inn’s Mignonette and Cocktail sauces as well as our Chef’s special oyster marigold appetizer. Cap it off with a complimentary glass of prosecco or cold beer. Ages 16+. This class is $75 per person and is open to the public as well as guests and members.
