About this Event
Join Slow Food DC at Temperance Gardens for an afternoon revolving around Pleurotus Ostreatus, the oyster mushroom!
The event will start off with a basic intro to mushroom cultivation workshop, after which participants will be given the chance to make their own take-home oyster mushroom grow kits (while supplies last!).
We're also lucky to have Chef Iulian Fortu of Arcadia Ventures joining us at this event. He is a mushroom expert who will be preparing a dish featuring oyster mushrooms for attendees to try, and answering questions about mushroom cooking.
This event is part of a garden education series on mushrooms hosted by U St. Neighborhood Association at Temperance Gardens.
The event will be entirely outdoors. Masking is not required, but welcomed.
