Oxford University Young Composers Competition

Secondary school students can submit compositions for the chance to have them performed by Oxford students, with big musical prizes!
About this Event

If you're aged 11-`18 and love to compose, we want your pieces! Compositions of any genre are welcome! Please submit entries in pdf and mp3 format to [email protected] with the name '[title] - [student name].pdf/mp3'. For example, 'Thus Spake Zarathustra - Richard Strauss.mp3'

Competition deadline is midnight on the 10th of December! Winning compositions will be performed by Oxford students in January (date to be confirmed), and school friends/parents will be welcome to watch. On top of this, winning composers will be invited to a composition workshop in the prestigious Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities in 2026. Profits from ticket sales for this concert will go to funding future competitions.
