Join Oxford Poetry Library for a family workshop and walk inspired by the natural world on our doorstep.
About this Event

Oxford Poetry Library lead this family-friendly poetry workshop, drawing inspiration from the bestselling book The Lost Words by Robert Macfarlane. Spend time exploring the magical and sometimes mysterious world of nature, gather ideas on a wander through Christ Church meadow and return to MOX to write your own poems.

Part of this workshop takes place outside; we recommend dressing appropriately for the changeable Oxford weather. The route is suitable for wheelchair users. Please contact [email protected] if you would like to discuss any specific access requirements or concerns.

Please bring along a packed lunch. This is a family workshop and children must be supervised by a parent or carer at all times. We recommend this workshop for children aged 7 and up.

Due to workshop capacity, we can only offer one free adult place per paying child. We have a limited number of additional adult tickets for sale, valid only with a paying child ticket.

Access:

There is step-free, level entry access to the Town Hall is via the entrance closest to Carfax (to the left of the main steps as you face the Town Hall). Inside the Museum, Museum Makers is accessible via a platform lift to the Galleries and then via stairs.

Accessible toilets are available in the Museum (close to Museum Makers) and in the Town Hall on the ground floor, before entering the Museum. Please contact the Museum team if you'd like to talk to a member of staff about your access requirements. Further access information can be found on our website: https://museumofoxford.org/plan-your-visit/access

If you any questions about access or would like to discuss how we could make your visit more accessible, please contact Charlotte at [email protected].
