Oxford Milonga - January 2026 Edition - A welcoming inclusive traditional milonga in the heart of Oxford.
Wecome to our first milonga of 2026. Come and join a wonderful group of dancers at the West Oxford Community Centre, Botley Road, Oxford OX2 0BT.
Experience a warm and inviting atmosphere with great dancing on Friday 30th January 20:00 - 23:15.
Entry is £12 (students with a student card £8).
We have special guest DJ Andrew Oldroyd from Bristol (organiser of Speakeasy Milongas in Bristol). He will be pumping out a great set.
We always welcome volunteers who can help with set-up, so feel free to arrive a little early. We also appreciate any help to pack away after.
* A short walk from the Oxford Railway and Bus stations.
* A lovely sprung wooden floor.
* Great tandas prepared by DJ Andrew Oldroyd.
* A welcoming community of tango dancers embracing all comers.
Doors open: 19:45; dancing from 20:00 until 23:15 (and maybe an extra tanda). Please use the back door for entry.
* Nibbles, freshly cooked pizza (21:30 - 22:00), tea & coffee, light refreshments, free raffle, and BYOB if you wish.
There are no preconditions for entry, but please only come if you are feeling well.
Transport and Parking: The Oxford train station is 5 minute walk, while the central bus station is a 10 minute walk. There is parking for about 10 cars at the venue itself. The Park and Ride bus service (Seacourt) stops outside the venue. You can also find plenty more free on-street parking around the corner in Ferry Hinksey Road - a 5 minute walk. (Please let the door crew know if you would like to be part of a walking-group to chaperone to cars parked further away.)
More detail about nearby-parking options can be found here:

Continuing bridge repairs at the Oxford Railway station prevents cars crossing into the City of Oxford. (Pedestrians and cyclists are not affected). However, access to the milonga venue and the normal parking locations are unaffected – regardless of the diversion signs.
NOTE: Should you park behind somebody at the venue, please let us know on the door so that we can identify you should people be unable to leave when they wish.
