GTA Workshop, University of Oxford
The workshop is specifically designed to meet the needs of Economics Postgraduate Teaching Assistants/Tutors (GTAs) with a focus on small-group classes, tutorials, seminars and workshops. The main aim of the workshop is to discuss and evaluate what makes a good small-group session including managing student expectations; different seminar types; dealing with diversity; marking and feedback. There will also be time at the end of the workshop to reflect on key issues and to plan next steps.
Bookings for this event are welcome from current economics Postgraduate Teaching Assistants based in UK Higher Education institutions. Bookings are free of charge for participants from subscribing departments, but £50 per person if your department does not subscribe to the Economics Network. If you are due to pay the £50, please still sign up here and we will then contact you regarding payment.
