About this Event
Thinking about reducing your car use? Join us at our Car Free Cafes
Following the success of the Oxford Car Free Challenge, climate charity Possible have launched a nationwide Going Car Free Challenge, to run during June. Find out more and sign up here!
To encourage and support Oxford residents who want to reduce their car use – whether as part of the Going Car Free Challenge or separately - Low Carbon Oxford North are running two ‘Car Free Cafes’ in June:
Sunday 2 June, 2.30 - 4pm
Sunday 30 June, 3pm - 4.30pm
Oxford Friends Meeting House
43 St Giles', Oxford OX1 3LW
The events are an opportunity for you to:
- hear from residents who have reduced their car journeys;
- talk to the Oxford Car Free Challenge team about specific questions and challenges; and
- meet others in a similar situation for mutual support.
The first cafe will be a chance to meet others joining Possible’s nationwide Going Car Free Challenge and looking to try alternatives to the car, with tips and resources for car free journeys, whilst the second cafe will provide a chance to swap stories and lessons and flag up future support needs. The events are open to all, and we would be delighted to see you at either or both!
If you would like to be part of a WhatsApp group to provide support and encouragement in finding and sustaining new forms of transport beyond June, please leave your mobile number so we can add you to the group.
