This rain or shine OWL event has become a yearly tradition with many laughs and good times searching for "Can you find ..." items in each display.Deadline for registering for this OWL event is September 29.
If you are interested in a day of fun, camaraderie, learning and eating, RSVP to this email and send your check for $20 to Mona Perlot, 473 Wood Hill Rd., Cheshire, 06410.
This year's theme is Gardeners Grove: a Growing Community. It celebrates the growing world with a wee community that is inspired by plants. Each site will be a place for a faerie to live, work, play or shop that is based on a single flora or plant type...flower, vegetable, bush or tree.
Before or after lunch at the Hangry Goose which is a very short walk from the FloGris, we can also visit the two current exhibits at the Museum - Inside Out: Contexts for American Art and Fall Into Impressions.
Inside Out: Contexts for American Art investigates the power of context for selected artworks from the museum's collection, turning them "inside out" for viewers to engage with paintings, sculpture, prints, textiles and photographs in creative new ways. Works of art will be placed in conversation with archival materials, period music, artmaking tools and interactive activities such as materials to smell, feel, play with, or manipulate.
Fall Into Impressionism. American impressionists attuned their artworks to each season. This exhibit celebrates the appeal of fall to the impressionists.
Don't forget BowerBird Gift Shop is around the corner.
