About this Event
Come see Owen Brown's Body, a short educational film by Pablo Miralles, screening at John Muir High School Friday March 7th!
This short educational film centers around the man whose gravesite sits in the Altadena foothills, Owen Brown. The son of his more famous father and abolitionist John Brown, Owen was a veteran of Bleeding Kansas, Raid on Harpers Ferry, and a homesteader in 1800s Altadena. It was created for a PUSD 6th-12th grade audience.
Tickets are free! Please RSVP for the event by signing up for a ticket. Donations are encouraged.
All donations go to support the John Muir High School Alumni Relief Fund and will go to those Alumni who have lost their homes and all of their personal belongings in the 2025 EATON FIRE that has ravaged the cities of Altadena and Pasadena. If you can't make it to the event, please consider a donation to help us support these affected Muir alumni families. Click here to Donate.
The screening will be a great chance to reconnect with alumni and the rest of the Muir Family and also learn something of our unique community's early history.
Doors open at 6:00 pm; the film will be screened from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. If you have any questions, email Pablo at [email protected].
