Our Observatory is based only 1 hour away from Mumbai City i.e. at Vangani (next station from Badlapur) - easiest way to reach observatory is Share Auto from Vangani Station (which costs around 15 Rupees). Our Open Observatory offers Professional Telescopes with Experienced Stargazers who are keen on sharing the Knowledge of the Night Sky. Overnight Stargazing Sessions takes place at Resort's Observatory ground and Stay is Provided in Dormitory/Tent.

-Take Karjat/Khopoli Train from Central Line. (Recommended Train Timing to Reach on by 5:30 at Observatory - CSMT – Karjat Fast 3:35 pm from CSMT |Reaches Dadar at 3:43 pm | 04:04 pm at Ghatkopar | 4:16 pm at Thane | 4:42 pm at Kalyan)

-Reaches Vangani @5:12 pm

Exit Vangani from West Side & hire Share Auto to Dhone Village (15rs for Share Auto)

-Get Down in Front of Gram Panchayat Office

Check-in/Entry Time: Stargazing Event Starts at 06:30 PM. You can Start Check-in from 03:00 PM Onwards and explore the Flora Fauna of Agro Tourism Resort. See how Organic Plantation is done at Plant Nursery Visit Green House click selfies and have some leisure time.

ITINERARY:

• 05:30 PM - Check in at Horizon Observatory as per 3:55 CST-Karjat Train

• 06:00 PM – Exploring Resort and Evening Snacks

• 06:30 PM - Introduction to Astronomy Understanding the Night Sky and the Flow of the Events Overnight

• 07:00 PM – Observation of Saturn’s Rings, Jupiter and It’s Satellite, beautiful Clusters, Nebulae, Binary Stars and much more with our Large Telescopes.

• 08:00 PM - Identification of Pole Star Constellations Nakshatras and Zodiac Signs

• 09:00 PM - Dinner Break

• 10:30 PM – Astronomy Discussions and Talks. Special Topics on Astronomy

• 11:30 PM - Stargazing for Deep Sky Objects

• 12:10 AM – Tea Break

• 01:00 AM - Astrophotography and Light Painting Workshop from Cellphone Camera as well as DSLR

• 02:00 AM to 04:30 AM - Astronomy Interactive Quiz Games and Astro Antakshari. Interactive Session and Talk with our Experts. Participants who want to Rest/Sleep are free to do so during this time

• 04:30 AM - Early Morning Stargazing when Sky has Changed & some new Objects can be viewed.

• 06:00 AM - A Walk to Nearby River followed by Sun Gazing through Certified Solar Filter

• 07:00 AM – Morning Breakfast

• 08:00 AM – Packing your bags with memories of a Night Full of Stars

Mandatory Things to Carry:

--Water Bottle

--Warm Clothing for Winter Nights

--Mosquito Repellent Cream (Odomos)

--Blankets and Bedsheets. (Tarpaulin Mat will be spread on the ground for sitting. Under any Circimstances Pillow/Blankets from Tent/Dorm are not allowed to be took out. If you want Blanket on ground Please carry your personal Blanket)

Disclaimer Terms and Conditions

1. Alcohol Smoking or any kind of intoxication is strictly prohibited at our premises. You will be asked to leave for such behaviour.

2. Weather conditions are not in our hands. In case of Cloudy weather or any natural or Man-Made calamities refund will not be provided. Alternate Plans or In-door Activities are done in case of sudden climate change during event.

3. Stay will be provided in Dormitory/Tent as per your Registration. If you opt for Tent Stay allocation will be on 2/3 person sharing basis. If you want 1 tent by yourself you will have to pay additional 500 rs for the same. Inform Organiser 3 days Prior for a Private Tent. 

4. If you are interested in wide Field Astrophotography kindly carry Tripod for your Cell phone/DSLR.

5. Swimming Pool is not part of our Itinerary as Pool is Closed at Night.

6. We shall not take responsibility for Loss of Personal belongings and/or Life

7. We do not Provide any kind of Insurance

8. Drinking Water is available on our observatory ground
