Backpacking Trip: Point Reyes from Five Brooks to Wildcat Camp📅 November 8–9, 2025📍 Point Reyes National Seashore
Join us for a stunning coastal backpacking adventure through one of Northern California’s most iconic wilderness areas! This overnight trip begins at the Five Brooks trailhead and winds through lush forests, rolling hills, and open coastal ridgelines before reaching our beachside campsite at Wildcat Camp.
Trip Overview
- Distance: ~6.3 miles one way (each day)
- Elevation gain: Approx. 1,200 ft
- Campsite: Wildcat Camp
Expect a mix of shaded wooded trails, scenic overlooks, and ocean views as we make our way west toward the coast. Once at camp, we'll have time to relax, explore the nearby beach, and (tide permitting) walk down to Alamere Falls — one of the few waterfalls in the U.S. that spills directly onto the beach.
What to Expect
- Moderate hiking with a full pack
- Fall weather — cool temps, potential for fog or rain
- Coastal breezes and spectacular sunsets
- Shared backcountry meals and a relaxed camp vibe
What’s Included
