Tired of being your own worst critic? Ready for more peace and joy?
Join other like-minded locals for this practical, uplifting 3-part course on Overcoming Perfectionism with Spiritual Tools at Newton North High School. Learn the science behind gratitude, meditation, and self-compassion and how these tools can transform your life. Each class will include a brief overview of the scientific research on each tool, but the primary focus will be how to actually use them to get the benefits!
Did you know research shows practicing gratitude can boost your happiness by up to 25%?
We will be exploring this and more in this hands-on, highly practical course. There is no religion or dogma here, and no prior meditation experience necessary. This will be a supportive environment where you are welcome to come as you are, and set aside who you think you should be.
Classes meet IN PERSON Mondays from 5:30-6:45pm on Monday Oct 20, Oct 27, and Nov 3 2025.
See you there!
MEET YOUR TEACHER:
Courtney Lester, MBA
A former business executive, Courtney built a thriving career in financial services as VP of Strategy & Chief of Staff to the CEO. While leading multiple departments and indirectly managing over 500 employees, she had an epiphone: her definition of success needed to change. Always chasing the next promotion and 15% more money, she got busier - but never happier.
Courtney now draws upon her own spiritual journey and leverages her corporate experience and psychology background to empower her students to live more authentic and joyful lives.
