Cricket Blue and a rollicking cast of friends present the music of Over the Garden Wall. Come on in, stranger, for a night of spooky merrymaking featuring frogs, pumpkins, pots, pans, and ROCK FACTS as we journey into the Unknown.
Cricket Blue is Vermont indie chamber folk to make you weep into your tomatoes. NPR Music calls Laura Heaberlin and Taylor Smith of Cricket Blue “master storytellers”, and the All Scene Eye says Cricket Blue “sets a new standard for fiction-folk.” In 2019, the duo released their first full-length album, Serotinalia, to widespread praise, and were voted “Best Folk Group” in Vermont’s Seven Daysie Awards.
When live music came to a halt in 2020, the duo began posting elaborate video covers from the Over the Garden Wall soundtrack. The videos quickly drew an enthusiastic audience, and listeners urged them to take the music to the stage. What began as a pandemic project has grown into an annual, sold-out tradition, featuring a 13-piece band of classical, jazz, folk, and rock musicians.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of the show or stepping into the Unknown for the first time, you’re invited to join the revelry. Costumes encouraged! Don your vegetables and celebrate the harvest with us!
