About this Event

Enjoy an Afternoon of Outstanding Big Band Jazz

Prepare for an afternoon of fun as the future stars of jazz in Scotland demonstrate their instrumental skills to get toes tapping in a show suitable for the whole family.

Formed in 2002, the Scottish National Youth Jazz Orchestra explores the music of jazz masters including Ellington, Basie, Miles and many more.

Past members include winners of the Scottish Album of the Year, the BBC Young Jazz Musician title and the Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year competition, and have registered success in the Scottish Jazz Awards, the Jazz FM Awards and nominations in the Mercury Prize.

Our current musicians are just as talented and impress audiences with individual and collective prowess, giving performances that guarantee excitement, creativity and grooves to make you move.
