Outlander, 3 Scottish Castles and West Coast Day Trip
A-MUST-DO for all Outlander fans and those who admire the sheer beauty of Scotland and its colourful history and culture historic castles. This fantastic tour offers an extraordinary experience to visit Scottish Castles, some of which featured in Outlander TV Series. Visiting the castles in this itinerary are currently free of charge!

Ticket includes:
- A return journey and transportation by a luxury coach with AC, TV screens and toilet
- Fully guided tour with a friendly local guide, hiking/walking and free time for sightseeing, shopping and visiting attractions
Places we explore:
- Portpatrick: Discover the beautiful West Coast of Scotland in Portpatrick and enjoy the coastal walks and the colourful Portpatrick harbour and its shops and restaurants.
- Dunskey Castle: Take a stroll along the cliff pathways towards Dunskey Castle in Portpatrick and appreciate the breathtaking views. Visiting the castle is currently free of charge.
- Dunure Castle: Visit Dunure Beach and Dunure Castle that appeared in Outlander where Claire and Jamie watch young Ian swim out to Silkies’ Island in Outlander. Visiting the castle is currently free of charge.
- Dunure and Dunure Harbour: Enjoy the walk at Dunure Harbour where Jamie and Claire once again meet Jared and board the Artemis for their journey to Jamaica in Outlander
- Dean Castle and Country Park: Visit a 14th century castle featured in Outlander season 2 as Beaufort Castle.

About the Tour
This is an exciting journey to the beautiful West Coast to visit historic Scottish Castles and to enjoy some of the most stunning Scottish coastal scenery and walks at Irish Sea and Galloway. Our main destination is the charming, picturesque Portpatrick town and Dunskey Castle. Portpatrick is situated on the far Western coast of the Rhinns of Galloway, you will be breath taken by the views and a line of pastel-coloured houses, stretched along the small bay with cliffs forming the backdrop. We will also visit the historic Dunure Castle (filmed in Outlander) located on a rocky promontory and overlooking Dunure beach and its harbour. In Outlander, Dunure harbour was transformed into the port where Jamie and Claire once again meet Jared, and board the Artemis for their journey to Jamaica. The same harbour also served as the port where Bree and Roger started their journeys to the colonies. The itinerary also includes Dean Castle (filmed in Outlander) situated in the heart of Kilmarnock and we will have plenty of time to explore this truly fantastic 14th century castle and will learn so much about its rich and bloody history!
This is truly a fun-filled Day Trip to appreciate dramatic coastal walks on the South West Coast historic castles and movie locations.

You may not be picked up if you arrive at the wrong pick up point that is different from the one shown on your pdf e-ticket.

Lunch / Things to bring with you
There will be time for a lunch break in restaurants, however, you can also bring your own packed lunch. Bring with you lots of smiles, a camera, warm clothes, proper walking / hiking shoes, an ID, a bottle of water and snacks. We will also have tea/coffee and toilet breaks throughout the journey.

Drop Off Point
- Drop off point for all students on this tour would be at Strathclyde Business School, Cathedral Street, Glasgow City Centre. There will be no drop off in Glasgow Univeristy.
