Outdoor Sound Journey & Ritual for Mother's Day Weekend

Weather permitting, this sound journey will be right by Equalizer Lake, accompanied by birds and views of the mountains. (If inclement weather, we'll move indoors nearby.)

In a nutshell: Let's bring our mothers, whether with us, or in spirit, or ourselves, and honor them with the gift of this connective experience of a sound journey (sound bath)...a time together to relax deeply, meditate on the gift of motherhood, and bask in the healing vibrations of sound infused with poetry. You can bring photos or symbols to represent the special women you wish to honor. Together we will share with them our loving energy in this very special offering.

About Sound Journeys: Sound journeys bathe or massage our bodies, minds and spirits with healing sounds. This can help our noisy "monkey minds" get quiet as we shift to a Theta brainwave state from our usual Beta and Alpha states. This is where we relax deeply and experience peace and healing on a cellular level. Some people report physical, emotional, mental or spiritual shifts, such as pain relief, improved sleep, sense of clarity, calm, release of tension, feeling revitalized and much more.

A 32" planetary gong, wind gong, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, crystal harp, chimes, Ocean Drum, rainstick, seed rattle, monochord and more will be used during this sound meditation experience to bathe you in beautiful resonance! We will honor our mothers with a simple ritual of gratitude and poetry to enhance our experience.

What to expect: Plan on relaxing in a way that ordinary life can make it hard to do. Come with an open mind and heart and a journal. You will be asked to close your eyes to help you focus only on the sounds; please let me know if this is uncomfortable for you and we can make adjustments.

Please bring: a yoga mat, blanket and any pillows or cushions you may want to be comfortable laying down. (I will have some backups in case someone forgets or is missing something.) You may want to bring an eye mask and I will also have a few available. Let me know if you need any accommodations. Sitting upright is also acceptable.

Need to know: Since this is in a park setting, THERE ARE NO RESTROOMS AVAILABLE. Please plan accordingly. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time so that you can prepare for the experience, and turn off your phone before we begin.

Please: if you are late, quietly join on the peripheral of the circle so others are not disturbed. If the event moves indoors due to weather, late arrivals can NOT be admitted; if the door is closed, please do not knock our of respect for the participants. Sorry, no refunds for no shows or cancellations within 72 hours of the event.

Open to adults and children ages 8 and up who can lay still and quietly for 90 minutes.
