Join us outdoors Jan 10 & 24!Pregnancy is a transitional time in the life of your family, both physically and mentally. At no other time in your life are there so many opportunities to grow along with the change.
Each class offers meditation, breathing practices, and movement through yoga postures. The sequence of each class is designed to create strength, focus, flexibility and awareness through a practice designed to support the changes in the pregnant body.
Prenatal Yoga classes provide a safe, peaceful and supportive environment for expectant mothers and are a wonderful way to connect with other mothers-to-be. The classes are appropriate for both new and experienced students and are led by teachers trained and experienced in prenatal yoga.
Benefits of Prenatal Yoga:
Increase your body's strength, endurance, and flexibilty
Experience clarity of mind and self-confidence
Decrease back pain, S.I. joint pain, sciatica, swelling of the ankles and feet, constipation varicose veins and nausea
Strengthen the muscles of the low back, hips, and pelvic floor
Improve circulation and aid digestion
Prepare physically and mentally for the challenges of labor and birth
Make lasting connections with other expectant moms
Class will occur on the lawn at south end of the Fairgrounds.
Health guidelines require students to bring their own mat and props.
(We suggest bringing several blankets, a bolster or some type of cushion such as a pillow, and 1-2 blocks or similar sized object)
Students must register and purchase a pass online to attend.
Facial coverings are required on property - they may be removed once on your mat.
Parking is abundant along the street - enter through the gate nearest to the admin building (Gate #4) - we will be on the lawn behind the Monterey Room.
