Bring your yoga mat, a water bottle, a big towel, sheet or tarp to put under your mat, and any props you might like to use. There's enough space for us to really distance from each other while still enjoying a wonderful morning practice together. Namaste ♥

Instructor Bio:
Jamie Elise has been facilitating yoga, pranayama, and meditation classes since 2011 when she received her 200-HR yoga teacher training from the Amrit Yoga Institute. Aligning with what Yogi Amrit Desai refers to as “the posture of consciousness,” the Integrative Amrit Method unites physical action-based hatha yoga with complementary components of non-action raja yoga to create the synergistic amalgamation of meditation in motion. Types of yoga classes Jamie has taught include hatha, vinyasa, yogalaties, yin, and restorative. Qigong and kundalini yoga are two other practices Jamie has experience with and she will often incorporate aspects of both into her classes.
In 2012, Jamie immersed herself in yogic ashram living at the Ayurveda Health Retreat where she lived and worked for nine months. She participated in their programs and courses along with teaching several yoga and meditation classes each week. She also completed the 28-day residential “Living Yoga Training” at Swami Satchidananda’s ashram Yogaville.
In 2014, Jamie taught at Sage Hills Healing Center and participated in their kundalini yoga teacher’s training. She also taught yoga, meditation, and self-regulation techniques to children at a Montessori elementary school.
Recently, she participated in a 10-day silent vipassana meditation course that deepened her understanding of this technique and strengthened her personal practice.
In addition to her yogic expertise, Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, is a trained Crisis Intervention Specialist, an Ojima Reiki I Level practitioner, and has a multitude of personal growth experience. This includes the Creative Insight Journey course, Satvatove Institute’s Transformative Communication seminars, workshops in Nonviolent Communication, and the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR). A trained support group facilitator for the nonprofit organization SMART Recovery, she has also engaged in several volunteer pursuits with adolescent youth and individuals struggling from addictions. Jamie also currently volunteers each week for a crisis call & suicide prevention line.
