This walk is also advertised elsewhere with permission from admin.Join us for a scenic 8.5-mile (approx.) circular walk exploring the beautiful woodlands, commons, and riverside paths around Little Baddow and Danbury. This route takes in peaceful woodland trails, historic churches, and the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation – a perfect mix of nature and heritage.
📍 Meeting Point:
We’ll meet outside the Paper Mill Lock Tea Rooms, CM3 4BS.
🕘 Meeting Time:
Please arrive by 9:45am so we can set off promptly at 10am.
🥾 Walk Details:
Distance: ~8.5 miles
Terrain: Woodland trails, fields, riverside paths (can be muddy in places)
Difficulty: Moderate — some gentle inclines, but suitable for most with a reasonable fitness level
Time: Around 3.5–4 hours with breaks

Bring snacks and water for the walk.
