About this Event
This day is all about getting out with your fellow Out There Award Ambassadors and supporting each other to inspire and be inspired to get out walking more often.
We'll be keeping to the ethos of the Out There Award throughout the day and we'll go for a sociable walk rather than covering vast distances and the volunteering tasks will be done at a leisurely pace, so everyone can be included.
Sam and Claire from Ramblers Scotland will be joining you on the day.
The main aim is to create a network and to spend time with fellow Out There Award Ambassadors, sharing our stories and experiences all whilst connecting with nature through volunteering.
We are lucky enough to be hosted by the Ranger service at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh and will learn about the parks management and get the chance to do some environmental volunteering as well.

Our Agenda for the day:
- 10:30am - 12am Guided walk with Holyrood Park Rangers
- 12am - 12:30pm - Lunch
- 12:30pm-2:30pm environmental volunteering with Holyrood Park Rangers
- 2:30pm - 4pm social walk
We'll do the usual group chat and logistics planning before the event.
