Join us for a star-filled event including a special presentation from Michael Sparks, Senior Public Affairs Specialist for the Air Force, speaking on the DOD’s mission with the space program.* Khelsea Rantanen, the library’s NASA Ambassador, will share how to use the telescope to view Jupiter in opposition. We’ll also create a watercolor galaxy craft and stargaze outside with the library’s telescopes! There will be special giveaway prizes and also Hubble Telescope posters from NASA to share! This event is for all ages. Dress warmly because the stargazing portion will be outside.
*If the government shutdown is still in effect, Mr. Sparks may not be able to join us. The program would still continue with our telescope/stargazing presentation, craft, and prize giveaways.
