Dear Family and Friends Please join us in the Out of the Darkness suicide Prevention walk In honor and memory of my sister Lekisia Dailey Turner. ❤️ As many of you know my life was changed forever 2018 when I lost my sister Kisia to the devastating and crippling disease of mental illness.
I picked the name Stiletto Stompers the 1st year we participated in this annual walk. I wanted to pick a name that could represent Kisia. If you ever got the pleasure to meet her you know she was a class act! She loved heels, stilettos included. But she was not only beautiful on the outside she was beautiful on the inside.
There is so much shame especially in the black community if you are not “ok”. We are taught to be strong, toughen up, don’t cry. And when you don’t we are taught it’s a sign of weakness. We have to change this narrative.
These two ideas birthed Stiletto Stompers👠
