Journey deep beneath the Library into our underground stacks to uncover a treasure trove of artefacts and stories from Australia’s queer history in this tour led by Library curator Margot Riley.
Please note: This tour is suitable for ages 12 and over. It involves a significant amount of walking.
These tours will depart promptly at the start times listed. Latecomers will not be admitted.
This tour will meet in the foyer of the Mitchell Library building (ground floor).
Margot Riley is a curator in the Collection Acquisition & Curation Branch of the State Library of NSW. A cultural historian with special interests in art, popular culture, photography and dress, she has curated numerous exhibitions and displays including Coming Out in the 1970s the Library's first exhibition devoted to LGTBQI+ life and history.
