We invite you to join us on Thursday, October 24th, 2024 for an exclusive screening and community engagement fundraiser for our documentary feature, “Out From the Ashes”, to be held at Chef Vivoli on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles. This film tells the harrowing tale of three generations of Ukrainian women (and their cat) fleeing from Mariupol in desperate search of safety.
Doors open at 6PM. Come in and purchase a delicious italian meal, paired with presentations from Ken Pontac and special guests. The screening begins at 7:30PM, followed by Q&A with the Out From the Ashes team.
This is a story that needs to be told, and this exclusive, intimate screening is in support of that goal. Our crew is independently funded, and this project is a labor of love - but in order to get the film in front of a larger audience we need your help. The screening is free to attend, however donations will be welcome. 50% of all funds raised will go to helping Ukrainian refugees still struggling in the face of an ongoing war. A strict RSVP will be enforced, and Ken doesn’t want his schmoozing interrupted by running to the front door to verify his friends.
After the screening, you are encouraged to join us for a Q&A with the film’s writers and producers, along with opportunities to lend your support.
