Talia has been an unwavering champion for the LGBTQ+ community — from canvassing with the Empire State Pride Agenda in the late 2000s to win Marriage Equality in New York, to helping start the Pride at Work initiative with our labor unions, to securing funding for LGBTQ+ organizations, uplifting LGBTQ+ voices, and co-organizing Buffalo’s first Day of Silence to raise awareness about bullying against LGBTQ+ students.
