Join us for a full day with national speaker Shen Chefalo as she shares shares her first-hand experiences of living in foster care from the point of view of a survivor. She will provid an overview of ACE’s and Neuroscience concepts, including the connection between addiction and trauma.
Participants will have an increased understanding of other key trauma-informed topics, including organizational chronic stress and compassion fatigue, while offering tools.
The content Included:
- Shen's story
- Deep dive neuroscience
- Work neuroscience and the paradigm shift into compassion fatigue
- Discuss social & structural determinants of health
- Will include reenactments, universal precaution, parallel processes (high-level overview, not a “deep dive”)
