Bring your camera along and join local historian Andy McEwan on an exploration of part of Riverside and a look at the charming village of Cambuskenneth and it's famous abbey.
At this point the River Forth meanders in joyful loops across the floodplain at the foot of the castle and set on a strategic bend, Riverside and Cambuskenneth command outstanding views of the river, the castle, the Wallace monument and Dumyat beyond.
Enjoy an evening walk, with the sun dropping in the west, with Andy who will regail us along the way with stories associated with this tucked away corner of the city .
Parking and Accessibility
Start at Stirling Boating Club, Dean Crescent Riverside FK8 1UT where is adequate on street parking.
We will take a level walk to Cambuskenneth via the footbridge. Note there is restricted access to the Abbey grounds for those with mobility issues.

Since our first year Andy has led walks during the festival, helping our photographers learn about and find inspiration in our surroundings. Andy's knowledge of local history, myth and legend, coupled with his storytelling flair makes for a fun and educational photo walk. No formal photography skills tution is offered during Andy's walks, although peer support is often generously offered!
