Faced with the rise of White Christian Nationalism in the United States, and religious nationalism across the globe, atheists, humanists, and other secularists must be at the forefront of the fight to protect our values — and democracy itself — wherever it is under threat.
There will also be a community moment by Andy Boyd and music by Sherita Perez.
Musician Bio
Sherita Perez is a unique singer-songwriter and entertainer. She possesses a talent for creating songs that resonate deeply with her listeners. With a voice that exudes warmth and charm, Sherita pays homage to the classic country and roots styles. With her captivating melodies and compelling lyrics, Sherita's songs have a way of embedding themselves in your mind, leaving you singing memorable hooks long after the music fades.
Sherita recently performed at SXSW Official, Austin City Limits live Radio Broadcast at The Towns Van Zandt Hotel in Austin, TX. Sherita has supported shows for Ani DeFranco, The String Cheese Incident, and Taj Mahal. She was a performer at the 25th Annual Kate Wolf Music Festival and The Hog Farm Hideaway 2022 at The Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, CA, and played at The Golden Gate Band Shell in San Francisco, CA. She has been featured on BMI's Singer-Songwriter Series at The Saxon Pub and the Texas Music Office's Texas Music Mixtape KOOP Radio- Original Music Hour alongside Willie Nelson, Nora Jones & Shiny Ribs. Sherita received a scholarship from SWRFA 2022, and her song, “Pack It In, Pack It Out” will be featured in The National Parks Service PSA's this year.
