The Our Place, Our Home programme aims to do three things – 1. To build an increased sense of agency in participant about their ability to influence positive chance in the wider community.
2. To learn the vital skill of working in a high functioning team
3. To develop individual leadership understanding and capabilities
It seeks to help members understand their ability to be positive change makers in their community and enhances their understanding of positive community development. This is covered over 10 weeks and builds some functional skills in being a change maker, working as a team and demonstrating leadership.
During the programme we will be working toward doing some sort of project or event at the end. This ending will demonstrate to the participants their ability to work together, to use negotiation and team work to agree a common goal and then deliver it.
