About this Event
Our Monologues seeks to uplift marginalized voices by providing a platform for UC Berkeley students to perform original works. Inspired by the Vagina Monologues by V, formerly Eve Ensler, the show features original monologues as well as other modes of performance expression, allowing students to tell their stories while also raising awareness about gender-based violence. This year's title, "The Room, The Womb, The Rabbit Hole," evokes the ways womxn, femmes, genderqueer, trans, and BIPOC individuals have historically been defined through false pathologization and criminalization. The show offers a platform for our actors to reimagine and redefine home, love, and childhood— even in a world that so often remains unkind.
We cannot wait to see you at the show! Thank you so much for your support!
