Monuments and Our Missing History - A Black Fine Art Month Salon Talk and DinnerAbout this Event
Every period has the impulse to create symbols in the form of monuments, … ‘things that remind,’ things to be transmitted to later generations. The demand for monuments cannot be suppressed. So how do we tell a more complete story of our history as a city, as a country via public monuments? This panel will consider the question with a focus on the diversity currently missing in our monuments.
