Join Karen Shannon, CEO of Manchester Histories, for a riveting panel!
Hear the migration stories of three Muslim women migrants, sharing their life experiences and how they came to set up their lives in the city of Manchester:
- Dudiya Zilic from Bosnia - a refugee who fled the Bosnian war.
- Nilofer Siddiqi from India - who arrived with a relative for health care reasons.
- Nafeesa Madani from Libya - who arrived as a child with her family.
They will talk about their triumphs and challenges in settling into the wonderful city of Manchester.
This panel is part of Muslim Women’s Festival and in partnership with Manchester Histories and part of the 200th-anniversary of the University of Manchester Festival weekend 6th - 9th June 2024.
