📅 Save the Date!A performance in support of The Welcome Centre - Sunday 19th October, 2–3.30pm at The Lawrence Batley Theatre Main House for the finale of Our Freedom Then and Now – a powerful national project commemorating the end of WWII.
✨ Inspired by a poem from Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, amazing groups and artists – including the Sikh Soldiers Organisation, IASK, Ukrainian British Friendship Group, and 6 Million Plus – to explore what freedom meant then, and what it means today.
🎶 Expect an inspiring afternoon of music, dance, drama, movement, and visual arts, created and performed by our communities.
Don’t miss this special celebration of creativity, history, and hope. 💛
