We all remember our first love. For Jeffrey and the founding members of Ex Cathedra this was the English Renaissance, a golden age in which composers like Byrd and Tallis created a treasury of truly inspiring choral repertoire.
Programme includes:
Tallis Lamentations of Jeremiah
Byrd Mass for Four Voices
Gibbons Thus Angels sung
Tomkins When David heard
Tallis If ye love me
Byrd Ave verum corpus
This concert will end at approximately 6pm.

Q. What about the pandemic?
A. Our 2021-22 season concerts are presented based on the information available at the current time. They do not include audience distancing. If the context changes we reserve the right to change our plans. Audience safety will remain our top priority. If concerts are cancelled we will offer a full refund. We may, at our discretion, allow you to swap your tickets for a credit against a future Ex Cathedra concert. Package bookers can use the ticket exchange scheme.
You can find our audience protocols on our website.
If there are changes to programmes or audience protocols we will communicate these at the earliest opportunity.
We hope that you will book and support us. Over the last 18 months we have been sustained by emergency and Culture Recovery funding, but as that support ends we are entering a new period in which we are reliant on ticket sales.
