Recruitment Event
About this Event

Are you looking for work, interested in a new role or wanting to progress in your career?

If so, join over 30 major employers from across the city of Bristol as our successful ‘Our City, Your Jobs’ recruitment event returns to City Hall on Thursday, 28 September, between 4pm and 7pm. Come along and speak to many of Bristol’s biggest employers to find out about live jobs and vacancies, courses and other exciting opportunities they all have to offer. In addition, all organisations will have colleagues available to answer queries members of the public may have about application processes, careers and interview related questions.

Further to the range of career opportunities being exhibited, organisations attending will also provide help and support with completing application forms; talk with you about your career goals and how they can match the opportunities.

The majority of vacancies at the event will include a variety of full time, part time and flexible working paid roles at a range of levels of interest. However, to ensure we cater for other areas of interest for our city, we will also be sharing opportunities at the event to learn more about available internships, apprenticeships and volunteering options as well as Board Member and School Governance opportunities.

………………………..

The Bristol Race Equality Strategic Leaders’ Group is pleased to bring you this Our City, Your Jobs event to formally start the Race & the City 3 campaign, bringing a citywide focus on tackling race equality in Bristol. The event returns to City Hall due to popular demand, following the success of previous ‘Our City, Your Jobs’ events. At our previous events we have received extremely positive feedback and ratings from our attendees on the quality of the event, information available at stalls and advice provided at the sessions. We therefore encourage you to come along and benefit from advice and guidance to be shared on the day.

Entry to this event is completely free for all and the event is open to all people across the city. Where possible, we encourage anyone interested in attending to register via this Eventbrite page to help us gather an accurate idea of numbers. This is an in-person event and further details will be shared with all those who have booked on Eventbrite in the run up to the event.

All 30 employers present at the event have worked collectively to deliver this event to ensure we create opportunities to ensure our organisations are as diverse as the city we serve. We particularly welcome and encourage attendance at the event from racially minoritised people across the city, who are currently under-represented within many of the city’s employers.

We look forward to bringing this latest event to our city, to ensure we continue with the excellent engagement opportunities created by the attendances we have had from our communities at previous years’ events, please register your attendance on this page, ‘save the date’ in your diary and share with as many friends, family and colleagues as you can.

Race and the City is a yearly programme of events providing important opportunities for us to collaborate across Bristol to help tackle race inequality. Together we can explore challenges, ideas and solutions to help break down barriers to make Bristol a fairer and more inclusive place to live for everyone.
