About this Event
Our Bodies, Our Stories: A Community Health Gathering for BIPOC Women
Our bodies carry our histories, our resilience, and our power. Our Bodies, Our Stories is a day of movement, storytelling, and critical conversation designed to center the health and wellbeing of Black, Indigenous, and women of colour.
We wil begin with a grounding yoga session, inviting rest, connection, and presence as we reconnect with our bodies. The day will then flow into interactive sessions led by community voices, storytellers, and health professionals:
🩷 Preventative Breast & Cervical Cancer Care
Learn practical tools for prevention and early detection, and gain insight on how to confidently advocate for your health within the medical system.
💛 Endometriosis: Stories & Strategies
Through storytelling and photography by BIPOC women living with endometriosis, explore the personal and systemic challenges of navigating care and the strategies for resilience.
💜 Sexual Violence & Healing (with Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre)
Join a compassionate discussion on sexual violence, available supports, and collective pathways to healing and empowerment.
This gathering is about more than health; it’s about community, care, and reclaiming our narratives.
Together, we will move, learn, and share in a space created by and for BIPOC women.
This is for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color only
