Mark your calendars, Our very first swap will be Saturday October 5th from 12-4 at the Crofton Library. The swap will be hosted in the meeting room of the library. The address to the library is 1681 Riedel RdCrofton, MD 21114. We will have a craft table where you can paint a terracotta pot(while supplies last). We will have all supplies to paint on site. You can bring your own pot to paint or we will have terracotta pots in various sizes for you guys to paint. Bring any established plants, cuttings, pots, trellis, moss poles, jars, planty related art or anything plant related to swap with other group members. We will also have a free table for people who dont have anything to swap but want to bring a new plant or cutting home. I was also thinking of doing a demonstration on how to repot your plants and how to choose the proper pot size (more to come on that). You can arrange pre swaps on our FB page before the swap and have both swappers meet at the swap. Or you can just show up with your plants, cuttings ect and just swap on site! We look forward to meeting everyone in person and reminiscing with the community about plants. If everything goes well we will be hosting future events/swaps like this every 3 months. This is a family friendly event (hence why i booked it at the library and not a brewery) so feel free to bring the kiddos.
