Artysta od niemal sześciu dekad konsekwentnie bada granice między sztuką a rzeczywistością, tym, co prywatne a tym, co publiczne, między indywidualnym gestem a strukturami społecznego odbioru. Jego praktyka, sytuująca się między postkonstruktywistycznym dziedzictwem łódzkiej awangardy a konceptualnym zwrotem lat 70., stanowi unikatowy przykład artystycznej autorefleksji i odwagi w redefiniowaniu roli artysty we współczesnym świecie.
Ekspozycja prowadzi widza przez trzy zasadnicze etapy tej drogi. Od wczesnych rysunków i grafik z końca lat 60., przez radykalne działania konceptualne i performatywne dekady lat 70., aż po powrót do mediów tradycyjnych – malarstwa i grafiki – w latach 80. i kolejnych. Meandrująca narracja wystawy odsłania ciągłe napięcie między spontanicznością a intelektualnym rygorem, między pragnieniem ekspresji a gestem krytycznej autoredukcji.

We invite you to the opening of the "Treliński" exhibition, a retrospective presentation of the work of Jerzy Treliński.

Treliński's practice, situated between the post-constructivist legacy of the Łódź avant-garde and the conceptual turn of the 1970s, constitutes a unique example of artistic self-reflection and the courage to redefine the role of the artist in the contemporary world.
The exhibition guides the viewer through three fundamental stages of this journey: from the early drawings and prints from the late 1960s, through radical conceptual and performative activities of the 1970s, to the artist’s return to traditional media—painting and printmaking—in the 1980s and beyond. The exhibition’s meandering narrative reveals the constant tension between spontaneity and intellectual rigor, between the desire for expression and the gesture of critical self-reduction.
