Join the Ottawa LGBTQ+ Christian Network for our Capital Pride Meet-up!
The Ottawa LGBTQ+ Christian Network is a safe and inclusive community-based support group. We provide an affirming space where 2SLGBTQIA+ Christians of various denominational backgrounds, who have experienced harassment, discrimination, exclusion, isolation, religious trauma, physical/mental/ emotional pain, and loss of community because of their identity can access community and support. If you are an LGBTQ+ Christian looking for community, this space is for you!
However, you don’t have to identify as a Christian to be part of our network. In fact:
- Some of us have a complicated relationship with faith and/or Christianity.
- Some of us are rediscovering our faith from a healthier perspective free from harm.
- Some of us are still processing the harm done to us in the name of faith/Christianity.
- Some of us are still closeted in unaffirming faith spaces.
- Some of us no longer identify as Christian.
It's not where we are in our faith journey that unites us, but our shared experiences with a faith that told us we were broken and in need of fixing, and our desire to move forward as a community.
