This panel features oral histories collected from queer Latinxs in Gainesville, Florida. University of Florida Gender Studies scholar Cecilia Luna will moderate a conversation with narrators around how they find joy through their expressions of queer Latinx identity. The event will include the sharing of creative works by narrators that articulate how alternate futures can be enacted through art.
This event is sponsored in part by Visit Gainesville/Alachua County, FL; The City of Gainesville; and by the Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Council of the Arts and Culture, and the State of Florida.
