We will begin with brunch at Glitter Thicket in Nyack!
If you've never been to Glitter Thicket, it is a charming all vegan café and art gallery that reminds one of both Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland. The menu is light breakfast/brunch fare as well as cakes, pastries, and coffees. And everything is vegan! Check out their menu and beautiful Instagram page below:

Café Grumpy has three different plant milks to choose from and one vegan muffin option if you need a snack before getting on the train. (There are, of course, other places to get snacks in Grand Central as well.)

We will take the 9:30 Metro North Poughkeepsie train two stops to Tarrytown. Travel time is approximately 40 minutes. The one way fare is $11.25 and can be purchased at the station or on the MTA Train Time app.
At the Tarrytown Train Station we will take the Shuttle bus three stops into Downtown Nyack. Travel time is approximately 19 minutes. The one way fare is $2.75 and can be purchased at the station or on the Hudsonlink mygomobile app. (Metrocard or OMNY will not work here.)

After brunch we can wander the town of Nyack. There are metaphysical shops, thrift stores, coffee shops, stunning views of the Hudson River, and other restaurants. If we are hungry again, we can choose another place to eat!
Trains back to the city are every half hour from Tarrytown, so we can decide later in the day when we wish to head back.
